Still in Canada

The howling wind blew us across Saskatchewan and most of the way to Calgary only to find they were experiencing an early onset of winter.

This photo was taken on our day hike in Kananaskis with Kelsey and Chris.

Now in BC we are enjoying an extended summer.  The fall colors are vibrant and although the days are shorter the sun has been shining every day.  Now we know why everyone in BC seems to be smiling.

We camped beside the Chilliwack River where pods of fisherman stood all day in the water hoping to catch salmon.  Then having to backtrack to Kelowna to replace a dud solar panel purchased in  Calgary, we camped along  Okanagan Lake. In mid October it is still paddling and boating weather.  Even the outdoor cafes are still open.

We are headed to the US today but the past week was a pleasant reminder of how beautiful and varied our own country is.

  1. The weather will probably just get better and better! We’ll send snow pictures from time to time to make you homesick.
I think I’ll paint your leaves. I like the shapes. Do I need your permission?
    How’s Sadie behaving?
Be safe. Don’t talk politics. Love ya!
